The Flick case is one of 3 focusing on the economic relationships between the Nazi war machine, German industry, and the slave labor camps. The other 2 cases are the I.G. The 6 defendants in the Flick Case were all leading members of Friedrich Flick's industries, known eventually as the Flick Combine or Flick Konzern (under a holding company called the Friedrich Flick Kommanditgesellschaft). Flick began as a director of a small steel works in 1915, merging with larger corporations until by 1932 Flick was the undisputed steel king of central Germany and was systematically and permanently collaborating with Nazi leaders.
