Matthew of Westminster is an imaginary name given to a supposed author of a chronicle called "Flores historiarum"; it is affixed to a manuscript of the "Flores", probably written in the fifteenth century...The "Flores" was partly compiled and partly composed by various writers at St. Albans and Westminster. Robert of Reading is the author of the portion from 1307 to 1325, published for the first time in this edition. cf. Dict. nat. biog
