Summary
March 20, 1863 Report of the Senate Select Committee investigating the public warehouse fire which destroyed tobacco and the building. Of note, the committee found the source to be in the room of the clerk of quartermaster, in an area used by the Confederacy. The committee recommended rebuilding and noted that the state was responsible for monetary losses, unless assisted by the Confederate government. Also included were various supporting documents.
