Summary
List of witneses in the case against soldiers of the 3rd Battalion, 24th Infantry who participated in a race riot, in Houston, Texas, on the night of August 23, 1917. This memorandum is a reply to a request that witnesses held at Columbus, N.M. be sent to Fort Sam Houston to participate in the trial. In response, Colonel Wilson Chase informs the correspondent that the list contained in the memorandum represents soldiers that are not being held at the base in Columbus, N.M.
