Summary
April 10 1759 Members of Conference which General Amherst and the Canahaway deputies at Mr. Griffiths. Header: At a conference on Tuesday the 10th of April 1759. There were four military people, three Governors, George Croghan, Native American deputies, Thomas King, and Andrew Montour. After the pleasantries, the warriors wanted to know who would command the troops and when could they have a private meeting with that person to work out details? Thomas King noted the promised rifles had never appeared, but the General said Sir William Johnson would provide them. The General said he would notify them of meeting places on the line of march. Croghan passed out the presents, Thomas King was to report to Onondaga.
