Handwritten copies of documents, copied by an unknown person. This may be a collection of examples of warrants and certificates to be applied by others. The documents are dated approximately 1680 to 1721 and cover a variety of topics related to legal issues. Included are warrant or fine for profane swearing, being drunk, or breaking the sabbath (10); warrant for not clearing highways (12); warrant for a runaway or enslaved person, indicating that the person should be passed from county to county "until he/she shall be brought home to his/her masters home" (15); certificate for taking up a runaway (19); warrant for a runaway sailor (21); certificate for wolves' heads (23); certificate for killing hogs (25), and more.
