Summary
Notes of a meeting of the Council in Pennsylvania, held March 4, 1756. The Governor thanked the two men who had traveled up the Susquehanna, and he assured the Indians that he knew the recent attacks were not their idea. The government stood ready to build the fort in Shamokin, but until it was finished, the Governor wanted the Indians to live with the Conestoga Indians. The Indians agreed with moving, but asked for wagons to get there, to which the Governor agreed. Mentioned is the cruelty of the Delawares and the Six Nations. Exchanges or gifts of belts and strings are mentioned.
