Summary
Wrapper: Extract of a letter from Mr. Peters, Secretary of Pennsylvania, to Mr. Penn dated 4 Aug. 1756. Peters took advantage of the packet to send Indian news. An Indian was sent by Chief Scarroyady to see if the promised fort was being built in Shamokin. There was a fort under construction, but not at Shamokin. Peters went on to give a gossipy reprise of the Council at Easton, emphasizing the behavior of Chief Teedyusung of the Delaware.
