Summary
The Honourable the Proprietaries of Pennsylvania, their accounts with Richard Peters. The earliest entries were for 1755; many entries were difficult to read. This group of pages covered all manner of travel expenses and included a long paragraph about the Connecticut settlers' land swindle. Many presents to the Indians were listed for significant sums. The next group was for Jersey charges. The next group was entries for payments to people, especially messengers. Pew rent appears often. In a note at the end, dated 30 November 1758, Peters said he would send the accounts for the Provincial Commissioners as soon as he had the numbers.
