Summary
There were lots of hostile Indians around, but Post was determined to continue, so he and some Indians started on the 25th. The group had bad weather, but made it to Wayomick on the 27th. The people there were pleased with the peaceful messages. Some Allegheny Indians had come in that Post knew, so he was able to convince them to come back east with him. About 50 people set off on the 29th and made it to Fort Allen late on the 30th. There the journal ended. The content of the messages was not precise.
