Summary
The Governor had considered the bill for providing His Majesty L100,000 in bills of credit, money to be raised by taxing real and personal property. Even though he had struck out the section for taxing the Proprietors' property, they were willing to be taxed if they could select the assessor, just the way the rest of the counties did. He had a lot to say about the Assembly's choice of Commissioners, listing several reasons why the men were not acceptable and asked for other nominees.
