Report in response to a resolution of the Louisiana Senate which states "That the State Engineer be requested to report to the Senate, what particular works the State force have been employed at in the third Internal Improvement District, during the last two years, what time was occupied in each work, under what authority such works were done, what time the State force has been in the hire or employment of private individuals with the reasons for being thus employed, etc. etc." (Page [1]). The main report is signed at end by A.D. Wooldridge, State Engineer. It is followed by a shorter report signed at end by G.W.R. Bayley, Assistant State Engineer. The reports include information about work in the Red River District including at the Sandbeach Bayou, Bayou Pierre, Red River, Jones' Bayou, other bayous, and Barataria Canal.
