The Report of the Town's Committee is a report of "a legal meeting of the inhabitants of the town of Boston, on the 11th day of June, A.D. 1813 ... a committee consisting of the board of selectmen, and one gentleman from each ward of the town." (Page [1]).
Includes: "Report of the joint committee of both houses, Commonwealth of Massachusetts," signed at end by T.H. Perkins; "Remonstrance of Benjamin Weld and others ...," signed at end by Benjamin Weld and others, of Roxbury and Boston; "The Committee of both Houses, to whom was referred the several petitions of Isaac P. Davis and others, praying that they may be incorporated by the name of The Boston and Roxbury Mill Corporation, together with the resolve of February 28, accompanying the papers, and the remonstrances of Benjamin Weld and others, and of Thomas Williams against said petitions, provided the full basin shall be made on the west side of the Neck, have attended the duty assigned them, and ask leave to report, that the prayer of the petition be so far granted ...," signed at end by Thomas Stephens, with concurrence of the Senate and House; and "An act to establish the Boston and Roxbury Mill Corporation."
