Note
Communication from Maine Governor John Hubbard to the Maine Senate, dated March 24, 1852; and "Resolves relating to the public lands." The Governor notes conflicts with Massachusetts about the disposition of public lands jointly owned, and indicates the importance of the sale of the public lands in settling the state debt in Maine. The Governor objected to the resolves passed by the Maine Senate and House.
