Note
"Reported by the Committee on Roads and Bridges."--Page [1].
The Massachusetts House Committee on Roads and Bridges reported "An Act to incorporate the proprietors of the Weweantitt Bridge." The bill indicated that named persons and their associates were incorporated, subject to Chapter 44 of the Revised Statutes. They were authorized to build a drawbridge over the Weweantitt River between two towns in Plymouth County and to keep it in good repair. They could collect a toll. After the proprietors had recouped the cost of the bridge, plus six percent, the bridge could revert to the state or be bought by one of the towns. If the bridge was not built in five years, the act was void.
