Report of the Massachusetts General Court Joint Committee on Agriculture on the communications of the Commissioner of the Agricultural Survey. The report indicated that the bounty on wheat would be allowed to die at the end of next year. The silk bounty was little used, even though the country spent a large amount on foreign silk. Corn also is discussed. A board of domestic industry would be a good idea and should be considered during the next session. There would be an opportunity to collect statistical data during the 1840 census.
