"Resolved, That the Land Agent be and he hereby is authorized and required to convey to the Trustees of the Westbrook Seminary, at Westbrook, for the purpose of endowing a Department of Natural Science, in said Seminary, two half Townships of the unappropriated lands of said State, to be selected by said Trustees: or in lieu of said land, the Governor and Council, in their discretion, may draw their warrant on the Treasury in favor of said Trustees for such a sum of money, as in their opinion shall be a fair equivalent for said two half townships of land ..."--Page 1.
