Summary
On January 26, 1842, the Committee on Finance reported: Resolve authorizing the Treasurer to borrow money in anticipation of the sales of scrip, authorized by the Act of 1837, 1842. The Treasurer was to use his best judgment about borrowing money to pay the interest due on some issues and could pay the loans back with the sale of other scrip.
