Includes a statement from Phineas Fish, Missionary to the Indians of Marshpee, and dated December 30, 1833; a statement from the subscribers, inhabitants and proprietors of the Plantation of Marshpee, heads of families and individuals, writing in support of Phineas Fish, and signed by Nathan Pocknet "and thirty-five others"; and a remonstrance from the subscribers, proprietors and inhabitants of the Plantation of Marshpee, and signed by Nathan Pocknet "and fifty-one others," about a portion of the tribe and a Pequot Indian named Apes, who, according to the remonstrance, are planning to petition for the repeal of laws and regulations related to Marshpee Plantation.
