"That in all cases wherein a jury shall hereafter be empannelled by law for the purpose of assessing damages occasioned by the location of roads, canals, railways, or by flowage of lands, the Sheriff or Coroner attending such jury, or the person appointed by the Court to preside at the trial before such jury, be, and they hereby are respectively authorized to administer to the Jurors and Witnesses, all such oaths or affirmations as may be necessary upon such trial."--Page [3].
