Summary
Report of the Massachusetts legislature about the results of a public vote on an article of amendment to the Third Article of the Bill of Rights, related to public worship and the choice of pastors and religious teachers. The report, signed by Charles Hudson, Chairman, concludes: "It appears from the returns ... that the said Article of Amendment has been ratified by the people, and accordingly becomes a part of the Constitution of this Commonwealth. Therefore ... the Committee recommend to the Legislature the passing of the accompanying resolve..." (Page 2-3) The report is followed by the resolution entitled "Resolve for the due enrolment and promulgation of the Eleventh Article of Amendment to the Constitution of this Commonwealth."
