Ordered, that Messrs. Holden of Charlestown, Bassett of Boston, Whitman of Lancaster, Thurber of Mendon, Osgood of Andover, Rantoul of Beverley, Fisher of Franklin, Baylies of Taunton, Kingman of East-Bridgewater, Lewis of Barnstable, Foster of Brimfield, Loomis of Lee, and Smith of Hatfield be a committee to prepare and report an article of amendment to the Constitution of this Commonwealth, relative to the number and mode of electing Representatives to the General Court : and that the several orders and petitions presented on the subject of the Constitution be committed to the same Committee.
