Ordered, that Messrs. Phillips, of Boston, Crocker, of Taunton, Nims, of Greenfield, Phelps, of Hadley, and Poor, of Danvers, with such as the Senate may join, be a committee to inquire into the expediency of instructing the Senators, and requesting the Representatives of this Commonwealth in Congress, to aid in procuring the passage of a law providing an uniform system of bankruptcy, and, if said committee deem such a measure expedient, to report resolves giving such instructions.
