Summary
Massachusetts bill that indicates that if anyone not licensed by the listed agencies dug up human remains, that person had committed a felony, and was liable to hard labor and several years in jail. The agencies identified could surrender bodies that were to be buried at public expense to licensed physicians, with preference given to medical schools, for anatomical study. Relatives had thirty-six hours to claim a body.
