Summary
Letters from 1736 and 1737 regarding Daniel Hanmer's complaint against Gov. Johnston, and the governor's response to that petition. It appeared that Hanmer wished to have a position of Surveyor-General of his Majesty's Customs for the Southern District. Although the petitioner wanted the General Assembly to decide, the governor solely wished to decide.
