Summary
Request to the Senate of the State of Michigan, which concludes, "your petitioner begs again respectfully to state, that frauds can only be prevented by regular inspector's in the fish trade; that in no market is fish saleable save under the brand of inspection; and that the practical operation of the law sought to be repealed is merely to cause the inspection to be made in Michigan, instead of in other states. Your petitioner therefore respectfully prays that the law may remain in force at least until sufficient time has elapsed to test its utility and benefit. ... Thos. Gallagher." (Page 4).
