Summary
Report of Michigan Commissioners appointed under the Act of March 28, 1849, "to incorporate the Lansing Coal Company." The report is about the ninth section of the Act which was about the individual liability of stockholders. The report concludes, "the object of the Company is of such manifest importance to the people of this State, and so certain not to be accomplished without associated capital, liberally encouraged by the Legislature, that we feel constrained to ask your honorable body to repeal the 9th section of the said act." The report is signed by H.W. Walker, B. Hubbard, Samuel Lewis, and R.R. Lansing.
