Summary
Discussion of "a treasure so invaluable as the statute of Washington" which was provided by the Trustees of the Washington Monument Association. The report also extols the value of statutes as memorials and in showing gratitude. It is noted that Massachusetts was the place in which George Washington "commenced that series of glorious deeds and heroic undertakings which emancipated a people and created a nation." The report is signed by Francis Baylies, Chairman.
Note
Dutton and Wentworth were printers to the state in 1828.
