Summary
A letter of transmittal from John Swegles, Auditor General, is addressed to the Legislature of the State of Michigan, and is dated Dec. 30, 1854. Swegles notes, "As required by section 39, chapter 172, I have examined the accounts of the Agent of the State Prison, and find them correct, as appears from the books of this office." The report of Peter Dox, Agent, includes lists showing cash received by month, cash expended by month, and an inventory of moveable property, goods, and materials.
