Summary
Report of the Louisiana Select Committee to Examine the State Seminary of Learning at Alexandria. The committee reported on a building being built, appropriations, as well as other relevant information. The report includes resolutions to appoint a board that would engage a person to act as the president of the Seminary, to work with the president to employ teachers, to arrange for accommodations for students, and to authorize the board to develop criteria for programs of studies and to set tuition. The report is addressed to The Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Louisiana,and is signed by M. Ryan (Chairman Senate Committee) and W.I. Hamilton (Chairman House Committee).
