Summary
Special report of the Louisiana State Engineer regarding an examination of Lake Calcasieu. The report is addressed to the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Louisiana, and is signed by Louis Hebert, State Engineer. The report includes the results of the examination of the lake, signed by John V. Van Pelt, Special Assistant State Engineer. Van Pelt gives the results of soundings of the mouth of the river, the lake, the inner bar, the passes to the Gulf of Mexico, and the outer bar. An increase of forces was recommended for the streams. Expenses of the survey are included.
