Summary
Report of the Commissioners appointed by the Louisiana legislature to go to Washington D.C. to present resolutions to President Andrew Jackson. The commissioners noted that the meeting went well and fueled hope that the state would be able to return to all its constitutional rights. The commissioners conclude in part with, "In conclusion, your Commissioners have to say that they were treated by the President with great kindness, and by the other officials with whom they were brought in contact with great consideration and courtesy as the representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana." (Page 4) The report is signed by W.B. Egan, Duncan S. Cage, and J.B. Eustis.
