Summary
Report of the Louisiana House Special Committee on Retrenchment and Reform, which was charged to "inquire into and ascertain what officers may be dispensed with, what salaries reduced, and how much; and what other relief may and ought to be extended to the people, and report to this House." (Page 3) The report covers the costs for various services and salaries, and includes a tabular statement for state officers which shows present and proposed salaries. The report is signed by B.H. Payne, Chm'n N. Orleans, and six others.
