Summary
Minority report of the Maryland House Select Committee charged to determine whether the Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland Rail Road Company and the Newcastle and Frenchtown Turnpike and Rail Road Company had not forfeited their charters by joint activities to raise rates. After noting that the former company was in fact the Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore Rail Road, the minority then disagreed with the majority's conclusion that any charters were violated. Other issues were also discussed regarding the charge of tolls. The report is signed by Joseph F. Shaw, Jas. L. Ridgely.
