Summary
Report of the Maryland House Select Committee on a memorial from Maryland citizens seeking to have the charters forfeited from the Bank of Maryland and the Susquehanna Bank at Port Deposite, and a review of the latter bank. After review, the committee proposed a resolution which allowed the Attorney General to vacate the charter of Susquehanna Bank. The report is signed by James W. Williams, Daniel S. Biser. Appended to the report are: Report of the Committee on the Currency, in relation to the affairs of the Susquehanna, Jan. 11, 1838; Answers to general interrogatories by Wm. H. Freeman; Special interrogatories to the Susquehanna Bank; The answers of William H. Freeman, to the special interrogatories put to him by the committee on the Currency, appointed by the General Assembly of the State of Maryland; and Exhibits.
