Summary
Report from a Maryland House select committee charged to review the bill entitled "An Act to provide for the election of Levy Court of Caroline and Frederick Counties." After discussion, support was given, with the addition of an amendment. The report gives an overview of the rights of people to select municipal officers and notes that "the republican institutions of this country, are founded upon the capacity of the people for self government." (Page 1) The report is signed by John C. Le Grand, John McPherson.
