Summary
Report of a committee commissioned to assess the damage to the Louisiana Penitentiary, Institute of the Deaf and Dumb and the Blind, and the State Capitol while occupied by the army during the Civil War. The report is addressed to the Board of Control of the Louisiana Penitentiary, and the Board of Administration of the Institute of Mutes and the Blind at Baton Rouge, La. The section describing the damage and giving estimates for repair is signed by James McVay, and F.M. Young, Architects. The report is signed by S.M. Hart, President; C.D. Favrot, Secretary.
