Transfer of resolutions from several states to the Maryland legislature by John Fairfield, Maryland governor. The resolutions are: Maine: Resolves in relation to the fine imposed on General Andrew Jackson; Maine: State of Maine, resolves in relation to the military academy at West Point in the state of New York; Missouri: Resolutions on the subject of tobacco; New Jersey: Joint resolutions [regarding state debts]; Alabama: Joint resolutions, in regard to the controversy between New York and Virginia [regarding persons helping fugitive enslaved persons]; Alabama: Joint resolutions, on the subject of the assumption of state debts by the general government, and against the repudiation of state debts; Massachusetts: Commonwealth of Massachusetts, in the year one thousand eight hundred and forty-three, resolves against the annexation of Texas to the union; Massachusetts: Commonwealth of Massachusetts, in the year one thousand eight hundred and forty three, resolves concerning French depredations on American commerce previously to the convention of eighteen hundred.
