Report of the proceedings which led to the formation of the Louisiana State Pharmaceutical Association in 1882. Of note, the report contains the constitution and by-laws, as well as a proposed pharmacy law.

"A number of Pharmacists and Druggists in reply to the following request, assembled in the Association Room of the Medical College of Louisiana. ... Should you deem it desirable that a Pharmaceutical Society be organized in this State, you will please inform me what day; the 17th or 24th of April, 1883, would be more convenient for you to attend a meeting, to be held in New Orleans, of the druggists of the State for the purpose of taking the necessary steps to form such an Association. ...
