Summary
Report of the Committee on Propositions and Grievances who reviewed a memorial of Stephen Van Wickle, the owner of a plantation in the Parish of Point Coupee. Van Wickle sought to be indemnified for damages alleged in consequence of the making of the Raccourci cutoff. The report concludes that notes "the claim of Mr. Van Wickle is ... sufficiently established to entitle his application for relief to the favorable consideration of the House." The report is signed by W.E. Walker, Chairman.
