Summary
Response to a resolution of the Ohio Senate, "that the Board of Public Works be required to inform the Senate, at as early a day as practicable, whether the State is receiving rents, at this time, for the flouring and sawmills at lock No. 1, below Middletown, on the Miami Canal, and also at Millikin's sawmill, near Hamilton, on said canal; and, if not, what is the reason said rents are not paid." The response indicates that the land is being leased and the debt should be paid by the next April 1. Also, the report indicates that the lease of water power near Hamilton is to Woods & Mills and is current. The report is addressed to the Ohio Senate and is signed by Leander Ransom, R. Dickinson, and Wm. Spencer.
