Summary
Report submitted in response to a resolution of the Senate which requested the following information: "names of all persons to whom leases or sales of water power, arising from the canals of the State, have at any time been made; by whom made; the amount of revenue accruing to the State from each waterpower leased; whether said leases, or any of them, are permanent and cannot be renewed when their increased value and the revenues of the State may require the same; and if so, by virtue of what authority of law said permanent leases were made on behalf of the State."
