Summary
Communication in response to a resolution of the Ohio House of Representatives requesting information from the warden of the Ohio Penitentiary about contracts for work for prison labor. The response includes information about what contracts are in place, when they expire, the number of prisoners per contract, and the type of work carried out. Contracts are with Peter Hayden, A.H. Pinney with J.O.B Rennick and A.E. Force, William Burdell, William Burdell and Thomas Johnson, John Morrison and James Polhemus, and the Lunatic Asylum. The report is addressed to the House of Representatives and is signed by John Patterson, Warden.
