Summary
Report submitted in response to a resolution of the House of Representatives requesting information on whether the Treasurer of State received proceeds from the sale of stock in the German Bank of Wooster. The treasurer indicates, "I do not know that the stock belonging to the state could have been sold. Neither the cashier of the German Bank of Wooster, nor any of its officers, ever made any offer for such stock." (Page 2) The House resolution referred to an act of February 23, 1816, which the Treasurer could not find a record of. The report is addressed to the House of Representatives and is signed by Jos. Whitehill, Treasurer of State. It is dated January 19, 1842.
