Summary
Report in response to a resolution of the Ohio Senate requesting information on the measures adopted to remediate defects at the southern termination of the Ohio Canal, costs of a new line, and estimated costs for maintaining the current canal. The report indicates that the Board of Canal Commissioners hired Alexander Bourne, Esq., to review the situation, and notes issues in making changes to the canal. Cost estimates are not included. The report is addressed to the Senate of the State of Ohio, and is signed by William Rayen, President. It is dated February 17th, 1841.
