Report of the Superintendent of the National Road detailing revenue and expenditures. The report includes these tables: Showing the amount paid on contracts of 1838; Showing the amount of contracts of 1839: the amount paid on the same, &c. &c., on 1st of December; Showing the amount paid for day labor in opening ditches, raking, &c. &c. which from the nature of the work could not be done by contract; The following exhibits the amount paid for labor, and various kinds of service, which could not be stated appropriately under any of the preceding heads.
