Note
The letter of transmittal is from A. McConnell, President, and is addressed to the General Assembly of the State of Ohio. It is dated January 20, 1838. A letter from Saml. Forrer, Principal Engineer, is addressed to the Board of Public Works, and refers to the report of David Bates, Esq., Resident Engineer on the extension of the Miami Canal. The report is signed by David Bates, Resident Engineer.
