Summary
Third edition of the January 4, 1815 report of the proceeding of the Hartford Convention, with attachments. Of note, the convention concerned grievances of New England against the War of 1812 and the United States' increased power, particularly with respect to the movement to have a national army rather than state militias.
Note
"This Convention Is deeply impressed with a sense of the arduous nature of the commission which they were appointed to execute, of devising the means of defence against dangers, and of relief from oppressions proceeding from the act of their own Government, without violating constitutional principles, or disappointing the hopes of a suffering and injured people."--Page 3.
