Summary
The document represents loose pages (separated by the folds) of the Treaty of Hard Labor between Great Britain and the Cherokee Nation whereby the former relinquished any claim to lands west of the Appalachian Mountains. Conversely, the latter ceded their lands east of the mountains to the English. This terms of this agreement were altered by the treaty with the Iroquois at Fort Stanwix in November 1768.
