Included were proposed resolution to appoint commissioners to meet with the same from Ohio in order to resolve the boundary controversy regarding the territory northwest of the Ohio River.
Note
"The select committee have, according to order, had under consideration the joint resolutions of the general assembly of the state of Ohio, to them referred, and beg leave to report, that they have examined carefully the questions in controversy between the state of Ohio and this commonwealth as to the proper boundary of territory and jurisdiction between the two states. The committee are of opinion that the title of Virginia to the territory northwest of the Ohio river, as to so much thereof as was within the limits of her charter, was clear and indisputable, and moreover has been so long recognized and acquiesced in by the governments both of the confederation and of the Union, that it ought not to be considered as open to discussion."--Page 1.
